In this post, I will be reviewing I ship it by nepetastrukk (lyrics in post). This song and more can be accessed for download via the archive run by homestuck-vocals.
This parody of I Love It by Icona Pop was posted in 2014. I think it holds up nicely for a decade old parody. The quality is good and the parody itself fits nicely in place of the original. It’s genuinely a song I would let play on repeat while writing. It will surprise no one that I listened to this song the entire time I wrote this review.
At the start of the song, I like the unique troll phrasing of “boarbeast.” It adds a nice alien touch to the song. I’m generally a fan of troll words, and fanons words that sound natural tickle my fancy. This is definitely one of them.
The chorus is a nice mix of lighthearted and vicious, a purrfect fit for the huntress herself. It’s fun to remember that this cute shipper troll also kills animals and litterally paints in their blood.
When it comes to quadrant portrayals, this isn’t the only shipping song out there, and it’s not the only song to include auspisticism in it. It’s not unique in that regard, but I like that it puts all the quadrants on equal footing here. It doesn’t focus on one quadrant over the others or leave out auspisticism entirely.
Overall, it’s a good song! Go listen to it! Reblog the post! Listen to more music by the creator! Download it! Put it on a playlist and tell me about it! I want to know what songs y’all are listening to.
Thanks for reading this review. I’m being serious by the way- tell me what playlist you would put this on in the comments, I want to know.
